Student Success Academy Fees
Registration for Academy events is included in the annual Academy membership fees. The first-year fees must be paid prior to participation in the Orientation webinars. Institutions will be invoiced for all subsequent years’ fees on October 1 of each year. Academy Experience and Membership
Year One: $15,000
To effectively guide and support each institution as it embarks on the Academy experience, the first year provides intensive programming, including two face-to-face events.
- Orientation webinar series
- Training and assistance with inventories
- Two in-person roundtable events to facilitate the institutional environmental scan and Academy project launch
- Online learning and interaction with Academy teams, Mentors and Scholars through SparQ
- Responses from the Mentor and Scholar to progress updates
Year Two: $15,000
Once underway with their project, institutions receive continued guidance, information and strategies, and networking opportunities to support the project’s development and implementation.

- In-Depth Virtual Mentor Consultation in preparation for drafting the Student Success Plan.
- Ongoing training and assistance with inventories

Note: Academy membership covers registration costs for five team members for each in-person event. Registration for additional attendees, as well as travel costs, are at the institution’s expense.
Financial Assistance to Participate
Holding true to HLC's commitment to equity, HLC is providing a small number of scholarships to participate in the Student Success Academy at half the cost for institutions. HLC will identify institutions with needs by evaluating the Institutional Update data of applicants regarding enrollment, degrees awarded and CFI findings.
