System Notifications
Canopy users will occasionally receive notifications about actions that need to be taken or changes that HLC has made to their records. Notifications will be emailed to users, but users may also view their notifications in the system.
Accessing Notifications
After logging into Canopy, links to your notifications will be available on the Institution or Peer Review Dashboards and in the main menu.
- On either the Institution or Peer Review Dashboards, a link to the Notifications Center will be listed in Quick Links section. The link will indicate how many unread notifications the user has.
- In the main menu, access notifications by clicking on the bell icon in the right corner. The icon will indicate how many unread notifications there are.
- Click the bell icon to view a summary of the most recent notifications. Unread notifications are listed in bold.
- Click “View All” at the bottom of the drop-down menu to go to the Notifications Center.
Managing Notifications
The Notification Center provides a list of your notifications. All notifications are displayed by default, but you can use the search filters at the top of the page to view specific messages.
The list of notifications will display the title, message, and the day and time the notification was sent. The full text of some notifications might not be displayed in the list; for these, click “Show more” to view the full message.
To mark a notification as read, check the box to the left of a notification and then click “Mark as Read” at the top of the notification list.
