July 2025 Actions

HLC’s Board of Trustees, Institutional Actions Council (IAC) and staff take actions on institutional evaluations, requests from institutions for approval of substantive changes, and other aspects of the accreditation relationship.

HLC posts all institutional actions within 30 days after the action is taken. Actions taken during July 2025 are published below and/or on the institution’s Statement of Accreditation Status in the HLC Directory of Institutions.

Board Action, July 14 Staff Actions

Board of Trustees

The Higher Learning Commission’s Board of Trustees took the following action on July 14, 2025.

Illinois

Lewis University and Saint Augustine College, Approved the continuation of accreditation of Lewis University related to the application for Change of Control, Structure of Organization wherein Lewis University merges and consolidates Saint Augustine College within its structure, with Saint Augustine College ceasing to be an independently accredited institution and to be operated as an additional location of Lewis University. This was the second phase of two phases of approval. The Board approved the first phase in November 2023.

Higher Learning Commission staff members took the following actions during July 2025.

Arizona

Tohono O’odham Community College, Sells, AZ

  • Additional Location Confirmation Visit: Accepted the peer reviewer report on the additional location at Many Houses Site, 4041 N Central Ave., Building B, Phoenix, Arizona 85012. (Approved July 23, 2025)

Colorado

Pueblo Community College, Pueblo, CO

  • Additional Location Confirmation Visit: Accepted the peer reviewer report on the Pell-eligible prison education program at Arkansas Valley Correctional Facility, 12750 Highway 96 Ste 13, Crowly, Colorado 81033. (Approved July 29, 2025)
  • Additional Location Confirmation Visit: Accepted the peer reviewer report on the Pell-eligible prison education program at LaVista Correctional Facility, 1401 W. 17th St., Pueblo, Colorado 81003. (Approved July 29, 2025)

Trinidad State College, Trinidad, CO

  • Additional Location Confirmation Visit: Accepted the peer reviewer report on the Pell-eligible prison education program at Sterling Correctional Facility, 12101 Country Road 61, Sterling, CO 80751. (Approved July 8, 2025)

Indiana

University of Indianapolis, Indianapolis, IN

  • Additional Location Confirmation Visit: Accepted the peer reviewer report on the additional location at IU Health Methodist Hospital, 1812 North Capital Avenue, Wile Hall, Room 629, PO Box 1367, Indianapolis, IN 46206-1366. (Approved July 15, 2025)

Kansas

Kansas Wesleyan University, Salina, KS

  • Additional Location Confirmation Visit: Accepted the peer reviewer report on the additional location at Water Well Location, 2400 East Water Well Road, Salina, Kansas 67401. (Approved July 23, 2025)
