HLC’s Credential Lab Endorsement Provider Commitments
A Provider that receives the Endorsement elects to uphold the commitments below. HLC reserves the right to update these Provider Commitments as needed upon notice to the Provider.
1. Endorsement Requirements
The Provider will comply with the requirements in the Application Form: Endorsement for Providers of Short-Term Credentials while in the process of applying for, obtaining, and maintaining the Endorsement. The Provider understands and acknowledges that all determinations as to whether the Provider is in compliance with these requirements are made at the discretion of HLC.
2. Participation in the Endorsement Process
The Provider understands and acknowledges that as part of the process of applying for, obtaining, or maintaining the Endorsement, HLC may collect information about the Provider for purposes of review. As requested by HLC, the Provider will provide information to HLC to facilitate these processes.
3. Truthfulness & Transparency to HLC
All information the Provider provides to HLC in the process of applying for, obtaining, and maintaining the Endorsement will be complete and accurate. The Provider will be transparent and forthcoming in all its communications with HLC and will promptly provide information to HLC as part of the Endorsement process or as otherwise upon request. The Provider will update HLC within 30 days as to any material changes to the information previously provided to HLC via email to [email protected] or as otherwise directed by HLC.
4. Public Disclosure of Endorsement
Any public disclosures that the Provider makes regarding the Endorsement will be consistent with the scope of the Endorsement. The Provider will adhere to any other requirements set forth by HLC regarding public disclosure of the Endorsement.
5. Intellectual Property
The Provider understands and acknowledges that HLC will retain ownership of any documentation created by HLC throughout the Endorsement process, such as evaluative materials. The Provider will adhere to any requirements set forth by HLC regarding the use of HLC’s intellectual property, include the Mark of Endorsement. The Provider will not otherwise use HLC’s intellectual property beyond the uses permitted by HLC. The Provider provides HLC permission to use any materials submitted by the Provider to HLC as part of the Endorsement process for the purpose of facilitating the Endorsement process.
6. Payment
As part of the application process, a non-refundable application fee from the Provider is required upon receipt of invoice from HLC. Any final recommendations regarding whether or not the Provider has earned the Endorsement will not be finalized and provided to the Provider until the application fee is received. Subsequently, as part of maintaining the Endorsement, the Provider will be assessed fees, as outlined in the fee schedule.
7. Failure to Abide by these Commitments
In the event that information becomes available indicating that the Provider may not be in compliance with a Provider Commitment, including not meeting all of the requirements in the Application Form: Endorsement for Providers of Short-Term Credentials, HLC will notify the Provider of the issue and give the Provider 15 days to correct the issue. In the event that the issue is not corrected to the satisfaction of HLC within 15 days, HLC may take further action up to and including withdrawal of the Endorsement.
