Designing Initiatives for Student Success Workshop

Tackle a student success challenge at your institution in this two-day workshop. Designing Initiatives for Student Success will guide your team through intensive, focused planning for a specific strategic student success initiative. You’ll be given the tools to implement an initiative that meets students’ needs and aligns with your institution’s priorities.
Teams should plan to come to the workshop with a specific student success challenge along with any supporting evidence.
ALO Orientation: An Introduction to the Role
June 3–July 15 | Invitation Only | Virtual | Register by May 20
This online orientation introduces the role and responsibilities of the Accreditation Liaison Officer (ALO), including modules highlighting various responsibilities. The six-week, self-paced training modules include an overview of accreditation and peer review processes, expectations of regular and mandatory data reporting to HLC, and staying current using HLC’s website. New ALOs are invited via email. 
Collaborating on Quality: Preparation for the Comprehensive Evaluation
June 6 & 7 | Invitation Only | Virtual | Register by May 6 
This team-based virtual workshop supports an institution’s preparations for an upcoming comprehensive evaluation. Learn how to leverage an effective steering committee, prepare for the assurance argument, and equip the wider campus to engage in the visit.
HLC institutions 15 to 24 months out from a comprehensive evaluation (Open Pathway Year 10, Standard Pathway Year 4/Year 10) were invited via email to attend.
Advancing Strategy Workshop
June 17 & 18 | Chicago, IL | Register by May 28
A collaborative strategic planning process can create systematic and continuous quality improvement. This team workshop brings together cross-functional groups of administrators to learn process and tools for effective strategic planning in higher education. Teams will leave with a project charter to develop a strategic plan that will improve their institution’s performance.

Develop an impactful academic program review process that’s aligned with your institution’s mission in this interactive, team-based workshop. Through plenaries, discussion sessions, peer consultations, and structured conversations, develop a draft program review plan that will help you successfully implement your program review processes.
