BGD Says

Welcome to the fall semester!  

During the current fiscal year, HLC is wrapping up the work of our EVOLVE strategic plan and moving into the development of our next plan, North Star. Confucius stated, “To be excellent when engaged in administration is to be like the North Star. As it remains in one position, all the other stars surround it.” Our goal is to provide that stability and leadership for our members. 

In the next several months, we will identify those areas of EVOLVE that should be continued and new areas for consideration, i.e., the role of Artificial Intelligence. One of the central parts of any strategic plan is to focus on our “users,” to use an AGILE term, and we will soon be sending out a survey of members to provide us input for the North Star work. We take member input very seriously and use it as the foundation of any strategic planning. I look forward to providing a full status report at our Annual Conference in the spring.
