A higher education think tank, Partners for Transformation, is conceptualizing 21st-century accrediting practices that assure quality in higher education and ultimately better benefit students in today’s world.

Representatives from 10 institutions within HLC’s 19-state region, HLC’s Innovation Zone identified recommendations for HLC to further support innovation in its practices.

HLC continues to update its processes based on feedback from the members and peer reviewers.
Seeking clarity from the Triad on institutional innovation
HLC meets twice a year with SHEEO members, hoping to foster the relationships and sharing information with SHEEOs about institutional innovation.
Maintaining and improving Peer Corps training modalities
HLC offers Team Chair Webinars, providing the opportunity to connect with HLC in preparation for evaluations.
Increasing quality in Institutional Actions Council's work
HLC’s annual conference provides an annual meeting for members of the Institutional Actions Council. In addition to receiving updates from HLC, IAC members provide feedback to staff on HLC processes.
