HLC Receives Grant From Lumina Foundation
HLC has received a $500,000 grant from the Lumina Foundation for programming to cultivate industry-leading practices within the higher education accreditation process, focusing on student success and innovation. HLC will work with institutions to develop student success policies and processes and to showcase best practices of high-performing colleges and universities. The innovation infrastructure supported by the grant will include a think tank, which will become an incubator for practices to enhance the value of institutional accreditation, and the development of institutional “safe zones” for piloting programs and new practices. These initiatives support two key goals of HLC’s strategic plan, Beyond the Horizon.
