The Strategy Forum is central to the AQIP Pathway because it brings together teams from other AQIP Pathway institutions in a supportive workshop environment to generate new strategies and tactics for institutional improvement. The Forum also provides opportunities for institutional teams to give and receive constructive feedback on their quality systems as well as input on specific projects that may evolve into formal AQIP Action Projects. Whether institutions are new to the AQIP Pathway or experienced program participants, the institutions at Strategy Forums all share a commitment to continuous quality improvement. HLC staff and experienced facilitators are also available to assist the institutions throughout the workshop.
The requirements and timelines for the Strategy Forum are currently under review. Please check back for updates. HLC will notify individual institutions well in advance regarding upcoming Strategy Forum participation.
Selecting the Team
Institutional teams are comprised of seven or eight people and should include the following institutional representatives:
- The president of the institution and, if possible, a representative from the institution's board of trustees.
- Campus leadership, including not only positional leadership, but also representatives from the faculty and administration that are committed to the institution and support quality improvement.
- Individuals with specific knowledge and skills related to the Action Project topic that will be addressed at the Strategy Forum.

Prior to attending a Strategy Forum, there is preparation and homework that each institutional team needs to complete. Preparation instructions and homework will be sent to each team after they have registered for the event.
